The Reality of ‘Hand Signals’ by Individual Resembling Trump’s Secret Service Agent Behind Charlie Kirk

Charlie Kirk’s passing has sparked numerous conspiracy theories, particularly regarding a man spotted near Kirk during the shooting, who some claim resembled one of Donald Trump’s secret service agents.

This incident may resonate deeply with Trump, who faced two assassination attempts last year. In July 2024, Thomas Matthew Crooks, aged 20, climbed onto a rooftop close to Trump’s open-air campaign event in Butler, Pennsylvania, and fired multiple shots, one of which grazed Trump’s ear.

After the shots were fired, Secret Service agents quickly shielded the president to ensure his safety.

One of the agents involved bears a strong resemblance to a security guard seen with Kirk in Utah earlier this week. “The guy behind Kirk sure looks familiar,” someone noted on Twitter, while another remarked, “One of the guys making hand signals seconds before the shot looks awfully familiar.”

However, a social media user clarified the confusion by stating that they are not the same person. “Not the same guy. The guy in the Charlie Kirk video was his personal security guard and has traveled with him to multiple events,” they explained.

Kirk was tragically killed at Utah Valley University on Wednesday (September 10) while hosting an open-air debate on campus.

The FBI released an image of a person of interest on Thursday (September 11) and urged the public to come forward with any information about this individual’s whereabouts or identity.

In a follow-up statement, they added: “The FBI is releasing video of the shooter who murdered Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University on September 10, 2025. Following the shooting, the individual jumps from a rooftop and runs away from the location.”

“Trace evidence collected from the rooftop includes shoe impressions, a forearm imprint, and a palm print. The shooter’s weapon and ammunition were recovered from a wooded area near the university.”

Approximately three thousand people attended the debate in Utah, prompting scrutiny over the security arrangements at the event.

Utah Valley University’s chief of police, Jeff Long, revealed that only six police officers were present, in addition to Kirk’s personal security team. During a press conference on Wednesday, Long stated: “You try to get your bases covered, and unfortunately, today, we didn’t. Because of that, we have this tragic incident.”
