The View host leaves set following Whoopi Goldberg’s explicit confession during live broadcast

During a live broadcast of The View, co-host Sara Haines humorously exited the stage after Whoopi Goldberg made a bold remark. Goldberg, who has been a cornerstone of the show since she took on the role as host and moderator in 2007, was in the spotlight as the cast celebrated her 69th birthday with various games and conversations.

In one segment, the famous Ghost actress was positioned behind a wheel of cheese featuring her image. When Haines expressed her desire to see her own face on cheese, Goldberg responded with, “I like to be eaten from time to time.”

The audience reacted with a mix of gasps, laughter, and applause at Goldberg’s suggestive comment, prompting Haines to walk off stage in mock surprise. Quickly realizing the nature of her comment, Goldberg remarked, “Never mind. This is a wheel of authentic Parmigiano Reggiano from Italy, and this has been aged for 24 months and it’s a testament to Italian tradition and quality.”

Haines, trying to keep her composure, returned to Goldberg with a hug as the crowd watched in amusement. Goldberg then encouraged viewers, “If you’d like a chance to win a wheel just like this one,” to which Haines humorously added, “And eat Whoopi Goldberg!”

Playing along, Goldberg replied, “That’s right! No – and eat yourself!”

Earlier in the year, Goldberg surprised fans with a personal revelation about her mother’s ashes. In her memoir, she shared that she learned of her mother’s passing while performing in the West End production of Sister Act the musical.

On Late Night with Seth Meyers, Goldberg described a unique way she commemorated her mother, cautioning the audience that “no one should do this.” She chose to scatter her mother’s ashes in a place she adored: Disneyland.

She recounted, “When I was a kid, the World’s Fair was here and it was the introduction of Small World. And she loved Small World. So, in the Small World ride periodically, I’d scoop some of her up and I’d do this [Pretends to sneeze] Oh. I said: ‘My God, this cold is getting worse and worse.’ And then we got over to the flowers where it says ‘Disneyland’. And I was like: ‘Oh, look at that’. [Cue another fake sneeze].”
