Theo Von responds to Joe Rogan claiming he had a ‘breakdown’ and would ‘take his own life’

Theo Von has addressed comments Joe Rogan made about his mental health during a recent episode of his podcast.

A segment from the show has been widely shared online, with Rogan discussing worries about Von’s wellbeing and claiming he’d experienced “a kind of a breakdown”.

Rogan also suggested medication could have played a role, raising the idea that antidepressants may have affected Von.

On the podcast, Rogan said: “Theo Von’s going through the exact same thing and last time he was on the podcast he was explaining it to me.

“It freaks me out because I know Theo has had conversations before…like even publicly.”

Rogan, who has previously worked with Von, went on to reference a “Netflix taping,” alleging that “they never used it,” before hinting at other “stories” connected to Von’s health.

In a more serious part of the discussion, Rogan implied Von had spoken about suicidal thoughts, before adding: “I’m like, oh, Jesus Christ! Like, I got to help this dude.”

Given the size of Rogan’s audience, the clip spread quickly across social media platforms.

Von has since responded publicly, saying the circulating claims about his mental state are inaccurate and that he’s doing well.

He wrote: “This is mostly false. Sad to see this kinda stuff. Im doing great.”

He also acknowledged that life can be difficult at times, but stressed that he’s okay, adding: “Im a human being which is a rocky ride. But im doing fine thanks.”

After the post, supporters shared messages of concern and encouragement, while others criticized Rogan for discussing something so personal in a public forum.

Von had recently been a guest on Rogan’s podcast, where the two discussed geopolitical tensions and voiced concern about Donald Trump’s conflict with Iran.

Although both had backed Trump’s campaign, they were critical of strikes against the Islamic Republic.

In the episode, not long after Israel began attacking Southern Lebanon, Von asked: “What do you think is gonna happen? You think we’re gonna be OK?”

Trump later delivered a 20-minute address about the war, and fuel prices reportedly jumped after Iran blocked the Strait of Hormuz.

Rogan replied: “I hope so, of course. I don’t know. I’m confused. I can’t believe we went to this war. When we started bombing Iran, I was like, ‘This can’t be true.’”
