Tom Curtis and his 6-year-old son, Dom, love drawing together, and Dom’s imagination can run pretty wild when he’s doodling. So Curtis decided to bring Dom’s pictures to life via his Instagram project, ‘Things I Have Drawn’.

Tom takes his son’s drawings of anything from spaceships, to butterflies, to bikes…
…and puts them in the real world.
Tom believes that children’s art is undervalued for their adorable attempts to capture reality, and thinks that his son’s drawings should be treasured, not overlooked.
He uses Photoshop to professionally render Dom’s drawings, even recreating a realistic (and slightly terrifying) version of the smiley faces Dom draws.
Even when Tom himself is the subject of Dom’s art.
“The original premise wasn’t that I took Dominic’s drawings and showed what they might look like,” explains Tom.
“Instead, the idea is about imagining a world in which kids’ drawings are accurate and the things they draw are real.”
“It’s just us silly adults that don’t see them because we’re not looking hard enough.”
