Ticketmaster issues urgent alert for Beyoncé fans before Cowboy Carter tour

As fans brace themselves to secure tickets for Beyoncé’s ‘Cowboy Carter’ tour, Ticketmaster has issued an important caution to buyers. Beyoncé is set to make her comeback to the stage after an 18-month hiatus, beginning her tour in April at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium.

Pre-sale tickets for the 43-year-old’s upcoming US and Europe tour become available today, February 11, at 12.00pm local venue time. This means that fans hoping to catch her performances in Paris, France, and London, England, can already purchase tickets. General ticket sales for her 2024 Cowboy Carter album tour will commence at 12.00pm on Friday, February 14, again according to the local time of the venue you wish to attend.

Ticketmaster has sounded the alarm over a scam known as speculative listing, which targets fans eager to secure a ticket to Beyoncé’s concerts. This scam involves unofficial sellers listing tickets for sale before actually having them in their possession, either physically or digitally. These sellers aim to acquire tickets during the general or pre-sale, which they then resell at a higher price.

“People claiming to sell these tickets are committing fraud and this practice is illegal in many states,” Ticketmaster cautioned.

To avoid losing money, Ticketmaster advises that if tickets are available from resellers before they’ve officially been released for public sale, these are not legitimate tickets the seller actually possesses. They explained, “The latest practice in spec ticketing is unofficial sellers speculatively listing codes for ticket sales. Only Ticketmaster can issue codes. They can’t be purchased or transferred. Each access code is unique to an individual account. Do not trust anyone selling a code – it will not work.”

“To combat speculative ticketing, we recommend always buying from official sources during the official onsale time,” they added. “If you’re buying resale tickets after the official general ticket sale period ends, only purchase from trusted resellers that only sell verified resale tickets, like Ticketmaster.”

The tour will commence in Los Angeles on April 28, with Beyoncé performing at the same venue for four nights before heading to Chicago on May 15 for a three-night stint. On May 22, she will entertain east coast fans in New Jersey for four nights, followed by six nights in London beginning June 5.

The singer will then head to Paris for three nights starting June 19, before returning to the US for two nights in Houston, Texas, from June 28. Beyoncé will perform in Washington DC on Independence Day, July 4, with another show on July 7, concluding the tour in Atlanta, Georgia, on July 13.
