TikTok Users Spot Amusing Flaw in Netflix Documentary About ‘Biohacker’ Aiming for Immortality

A wealthy individual has become fixated on the idea of achieving eternal life, but viewers on TikTok have highlighted a significant flaw following the release of his documentary.

Bryan Johnson is on a quest to maximize his lifespan and has been investing heavily in this pursuit.

The 47-year-old allocates a staggering $2 million annually to his endeavors aimed at immortality and has been candid on social media about the triumphs and setbacks he’s encountered.

His project includes exploring some unconventional experimental techniques, such as injecting himself with his son’s blood, adhering to a strict diet and exercise routine, and daily use of UV-free light, red light, and oxygen therapy.

In 2023, he shared on Medium: “With my world-class team of doctors, researchers, and clinicians, if I am able to reverse my measured biological age by 1.01 years for every one year that passes, that is evidence that we have reached the first stage of aging escape velocity where life expectancy increases faster than passed time.”

Earlier this year, he unveiled a documentary on Netflix chronicling his journey to eternal life titled: Don’t Die: The Man Who Wants to Live Forever.

However, social media users have criticized Johnson’s mindset and the lengths he is going to in order to prolong his life.

TikTok user Mike Mancusi, sharing on his page, Mikemancusi, noted a particular issue with the documentary’s title.

He remarked: “I’m not going to spoil the ending of the documentary, I’m going to spoil the ending of literally everything, is that he is going to die, we are all going to die, that is what things do.”

He further elaborated: “He has used his endless time and resources to develop a formula for ‘anti-aging’ and he is saying that means he is ‘aging backwards’, that isn’t what is happening.

“All that is happening is that he is aging slower.

“And you can age slower too, if you don’t have a full time job, if you don’t have a family, if you don’t have literally anything else to do and also you have all the money in the world to afford the 70 pills, the 12-hour workouts and all the supplements and all the crap he has to put into his body.

“If you can do that, you can also age slower.”

Several other users concurred and shared their thoughts on the attempt to achieve eternal life.

One individual commented: “So he’s gonna spend his entire life….just trying to live longer while…not living.”

Another added: “Haha. [Death] the only thing that you can’t escape from no matter how much wealth you accumulate.”

A third offered: “What makes me sad about these millionaires and billionaires- imagine The good all of their money could do, instead of wasting it on self centered pursuits.”

Yet another expressed: “I watched it. It sounded interesting but his whole life is solely focused on living longer … he barely does anything to live in the moment. His life is a science experiment …kinda defeats the purpose.”

In any case, the documentary provides an intriguing glimpse into the lengths someone will go to appear slightly younger than their actual age.
