Timothée Chalamet Reveals Top Three Favorite Actors While Quentin Tarantino Critiques Stars He Dislikes

Timothée Chalamet, known for his remarkable talent in acting, recently shared his list of the greatest actors of all time, presenting a stark contrast to the criticism directed by Quentin Tarantino towards some well-known stars.

The famed director, aged 62, faced significant backlash from Hollywood after harshly criticizing actor Paul Dano, labeling him as ‘the weakest f**king actor in SAG.’ Tarantino attributed this to the fact that 2007’s “There Will Be Blood” didn’t top his list of the best films of the century. He also made disparaging remarks about Owen Wilson and Matthew Lillard as actors he “doesn’t care for.”

In sharp contrast to these negative remarks, 29-year-old Chalamet revealed his list of the three ‘GOAT’ actors of the current generation. This revelation came during an interview with Lucid Motors, while Chalamet was being driven around a race track at high speed.

Even amidst the adrenaline-pumping experience, Chalamet couldn’t refrain from listing three of his top actors when asked for his opinion.

“Denzel is the GOAT, Christian Bale is the GOAT, and Joaquin Phoenix is the strange GOAT,” the “Dune” star expressed confidently.

When asked about his evaluations of others in the field, he modestly responded, “I feel just like I’m playing against myself,” and shared insightful advice on acting from another acclaimed actor.

He quoted, “Daniel Day Lewis said to Jeremy Strong ‘to embark on a role seriously is to be willing to be foolish’, what I do can be really silly at times.”

Chalamet’s optimism seemed like a breath of fresh air amidst the negative reactions surrounding Tarantino’s remarks about three major Hollywood figures, with Matthew Lillard describing the comments as ‘humbling’ and ‘hurtful’ from such a respected director.

Notably, Chalamet has been openly celebrating some of Hollywood’s finest talents. In São Paulo, Brazil, during a recent event, he mentioned those who inspired him to pursue acting.

Sitting alongside Josh Safdie, director of his newest project “Marty Supreme,” Chalamet highlighted the actors who motivated him, with Denzel Washington once again being mentioned.

“The people that inspired me to become an actor in the first place,” Chalamet told the audience.

He expressed admiration for “the greats before me, the Denzel Washingtons, the Leonardo DiCaprios, the people that laid a path that you aspire to as a young man, as a young artist.”

Chalamet emphasized the significant impact actors can have on individuals by saying, “You get inspired by these people when you’re young and sometimes the world puts you down and doesn’t encourage you to dream.”

He connected this sentiment to his new film, explaining, “Marty Supreme is about an underdog, it’s about believing your dreams when no one has your back, when no one believes in you, when the people you think love you the most, that claim to be in love with you, don’t have your back.”
