R&B star Rozonda ‘Chilli’ Thomas, of TLC fame, has reportedly struck up a romance with former Boy Meets World actor Matthew Lawrence.
The 51-year-old singer and 42-year-old actor are reportedly in a committed relationship after spending the holidays together in Atlanta.
It has been reported that Lawrence was introduced to Chilli’s family over the holidays.
After weeks of speculation, it appears lovebirds X and Y have finally confirmed their relationship. The couple recently took to Instagram to share a cozy video of them dancing to A-Ha’s iconic 80s hit, ‘Take On Me’, in their pyjamas. Fans were quick to speculate that this marked the pair’s official confirmation of their romance.
Chilli and Matthew’s relationship dates back at least to August, when they were seen together at Waikiki beach in Honolulu. The length of their acquaintance is unknown.
Chilli, known for being a part of the iconic girl group TLC, has had a successful career both within and outside the band. With over 65 million records sold worldwide, TLC was one of the most successful girl groups.
Chilli, real name Rozonda Thomas, had a two-year relationship with singer Usher, appearing in three of his music videos – U Remind Me, U Got It Bad and U Don’t Have To Call.
The couple split in 2003, with Chilli claiming that Usher had cheated on her.
Matthew, who has been acting since his childhood, has had many memorable roles throughout his career. His most notable role was opposite Robin Williams in the 1993 comedy Mrs. Doubtfire.
