Tobin Bell, Jigsaw actor, praised for reaction to child’s question ‘do you want to play a game’

Meeting your idols can be thrilling, but the experience can vary dramatically.

Your hero could either turn out to be quite unpleasant, or they might be surprisingly kind-hearted, like Tobin Bell, the star of the Saw franchise.

But how can we be sure the 82-year-old actor is genuinely nice?

The proof lies in his interaction with a young fan. Interestingly, the child seemed too young to have watched the Saw films, raising questions about parental supervision.

While the Saw series is more graphic than frightening, I won’t judge as I introduced Rick and Morty to my toddler, who enjoyed it immensely.

Bell, a native New Yorker who portrays Jigsaw in the Saw films, was asked by the young fan if he wanted to play a game, echoing his character’s famous line. His reaction was nothing short of heartwarming.

This encounter took place last year before the release of Saw X in September, a time when fans were eagerly anticipating the film.

Saw X marks the 10th installment in the series, which began in 2004 and has released new films at a steady pace since. Kudos to the entire team for their dedication.

When thinking of horror films, the Halloween series, the Nightmare on Elm Street series, and the Saw series likely come to mind, each a staple in the genre known for their chilling scares.

Returning to the story, Jigsaw is a fearsome character one would avoid, but thankfully, Bell, whose acting career spans over fifty years, is quite the opposite in reality.

A video on YouTube captures a young fan approaching Bell during a meet-and-greet.

Upon reaching the desk, the child says: “I have a question.”

Bell responds: “Yeah, fire away. I have a question too.”

The child then boldly asks: “Do you want to play a game?”

Bell warmly replies: “I do want to play a game. But let’s start with a pound, ok?”

They proceed to exchange a fist bump.

“Ok, now, that’s the start of the game, now, give me your hand,” Bell continues, leading to a handshake.

Once the clip was shared on social media, it garnered thousands of views.

Viewers flocked to the comments section to commend Bell for his thoughtful interaction with the young fan.

One user remarked: “Tobin is such a nice guy. Absolutely love actors who are just flat out nothing like the characters they play.”

Another added: “I’m amazed he wasn’t like ‘Omg kid you watch my Saw movies!?’ Lmao he’s a nice guy though.”
