Tragic news on human remains found near Taylor Swift’s residence amid serial killer concerns

Authorities have released new information regarding the human remains found near Taylor Swift’s residence in Rhode Island.

There is still unease among locals about a possible serial killer as a dozen bodies have been discovered across Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts in recent months.

Last month, unsettling developments occurred close to singer Taylor Swift’s vacation home when officials reported finding suspected human remains in the Watch Hill area of Rhode Island, a location known for its affluence and where the ‘Shake It Off’ artist resides.

The Westerly Police Department stated: “Investigators are awaiting official confirmation of the identity of the remains.

“No foul play is suspected at this time.”

The remains were sent to the Rhode Island Medical Examiner’s Office for further examination, and police have now provided an additional update.

The South Kingston Police Department has identified the remains as belonging to Eric Wein, a 31-year-old from Massachusetts.

Wein had been reported missing on April 18, shortly after his vehicle was found illegally parked in South Kingston, according to WPRI.

“We extend our deepest condolences to Mr. Wein’s family and loved ones during this difficult time,” stated the police.

Local authorities have clarified that they do not suspect foul play, despite concerns about a potential serial killer.

Over recent months, 12 sets of human remains have been discovered throughout New England, most of the deceased being women.

A Facebook group once named ‘New England Serial Killer’ sparked much of the speculation, gaining over 65,000 members before its name had to be adjusted due to social media policies.

Other groups have since emerged, warning of ‘sinister shadows lurking in the Southern New England tri-state area’ and expressing that the region is ‘gripped by fear and uncertainty.’

Despite these conspiracy theories, law enforcement has consistently stated there is no evidence of a serial killer in New England.

Authorities have repeatedly ruled out foul play, asserting there is ‘no connection’ between the cases and ‘no known threat to the public.’

Following the discovery of Wein’s remains, Westerly Police Chief Paul Gingerella informed Fox News Digital: “As far as I’m concerned, as far as right now, this has nothing to do with any serial killer [or] any New England murderer.”
