There are only a handful of people worldwide who have journeyed to every nation, and it seems adventurer Drew Binsky is among them.
The United Nations recognizes 195 countries globally, whereas the CIA suggests there are 237 in total.
As Science Focus explains, the variation in numbers largely stems from numerous disputed regions and nations with either full or partial sovereignty.
Drew Binsky is a content creator who asserts he has traveled to each one of these countries.
Binsky, who hails from Arizona, shared his experiences ranging from spending time with indigenous tribes in Africa to exploring the depths of India to connect with residents.
During the summer, Binsky mentioned that while he has discovered his favorite country, featuring ‘everything you could want,’ his travels have not been without challenges.
One of the significant obstacles he has encountered was attempting to travel from the United States to Venezuela.
“I ended up getting the visa from the Venezuelan embassy but they were difficult because of the sanctions and political tensions between the US and Venezuela, but I was able to get one last minute,” he explained.
For Drew, immersing himself in various cultures is what truly drives him.
“I really like visiting indigenous tribes, because it shows a different side of the world is not so consumed in technology and electronics,” he said.
“It’s humbling to meet people and see how they’re living in faraway places; I plan to keep visiting them [indigenous tribes] mostly in Africa, but also in South America and India.”
Did Binsky find it challenging to adjust to and engage with his environment?
“Not really, I think it’s rewarding I can meet people and document their lives,” the social media star confessed.
“So it wasn’t never really difficult. I never had any issues getting to know other people, and making them comfortable on camera,” he said.
While meeting tribes has been fascinating, one particular country stands out as Drew’s favorite.
When asked about the best country he’s ever visited, Drew responded: “I would say the Philippines. I think it’s the most beautiful country in the world, super safe and full of nice people.
“It’s like everything you could want in one country.”
Although the Philippines is a top choice, Drew plans to make Dubai his future home with his wife, attracted by its ‘culture’.
