Travis Kelce’s ex Kayla Nicole has opened up about her last relationship and it’s left social media users divided.
While speaking on a TikTok Live with Love Island contestant Ace Greene, Nicole was asked to reflect on her most recent relationship.
Nicole didn’t name anyone, but her comment that it was “probably like three years ago” led some viewers to speculate about who she meant. With reports previously stating she and Kelce split in 2022, some online users have suggested the timelines could overlap.
It also isn’t the first time people on social media have linked Nicole’s comments back to the Kansas City Chiefs star.
Kelce and Nicole are widely reported to have dated on and off for about five years, after first being connected in 2017.
The two reportedly first started talking after Nicole messaged him on New Year’s, before breaking up and reconciling several times. They are said to have ended things for good in May 2022.
As for what went wrong, Nicole offered a broad explanation while chatting with Greene, without mentioning any names: “Umm, who knows? Could be compatibility issues? Right person, wrong time.”
The clip quickly spread, prompting a wave of reactions across social media.

“Let me help yall. Her and Travis have been broken up for four years, she said three years. For the love of god get a hobby,” another defended.
A third echoed: “How do we know whether she’s even talking about Travis?”
“Shortie has made a whole press run the last 2/3 years talking bout Travis Kelce lol s**t werid,” a fourth said.
Speculation around Nicole’s comments isn’t new, either, with fans previously reading into her posts and public appearances.
Back in November, some people claimed Nicole took a subtle jab at Kelce’s current partner, Taylor Swift, through her Halloween outfit.
Nicole appeared to dress as Toni Braxton, leaning into the theme with a well-known song about heartbreak and men — and some interpreted it as a pointed response to a lyric they believed was aimed her way.
In ‘Opatlite’ in her The Life of a Showgirl album, Swift sung: “You couldn’t understand it, why you felt alone / You were in it for real, she was in her phone / And you were just a pose.”
