Travis Kelce’s former partner speaks out following Taylor Swift’s alleged ‘diss’ song release

Kayla Nicole appears to have responded assertively following the debut of Taylor Swift’s album “The Life of a Showgirl,” which reportedly includes a ‘diss track’ directed at her.

To provide some background, Nicole was romantically involved with Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce from 2017 to 2022. Kelce is now engaged to pop sensation Swift.

One of Swift’s latest songs, “Opalite,” has lyrics that many believe are targeting Nicole.

“You couldn’t understand it, why you felt alone/You were in it for real, she was in her phone/And you were just a pose,” Swift sings in a part of the song.

Fans of Swift, often referred to as “Swifties,” were quick to interpret these lines as a jab at Nicole, with one commenting: “The Kayla Nicole shade in ‘Opalite’?!?!.”

Another fan remarked: “She disses Kayla Nicole in ‘Opalite’.

Yet another shared: “The Kayla Nicole shade sent me I know Taylor is tired of her always talking about him.”

Mere hours after “The Life of a Showgirl” was launched on Friday (October 3), Nicole shared a reel from America’s Next Top Model star Eva Marcille on her Instagram Stories.

The clip shows Tyra Banks asking Marcille: “How do you compare yourself to the other girls out there?”

Marcille replies confidently: “I don’t compare myself to other girls. I’m Eva. I’m no comparison to anyone else.”

Additionally, the 33-year-old posted pictures from a dinner event she attended that evening, hosted by Hollywood Confidential in Los Angeles.

She captioned the photos: “What an honor to share a table with some of the most iconic ‘girlfriends’ of all time,” adding, “Women whose art has been a mirror and a reminder of what’s possible at every stage of my womanhood. Thank you @hollywoodconfidential for creating space to celebrate visibility, sisterhood, and storytelling in its truest form.

“And a very special thank you to the honoree of the evening, @marabrockakil. Your gift has given generations a language and a lens.”

Nicole also included a bold meme on her Instagram Stories, stating, ‘And when God give you ball, BALL’.

Since Kelce and Swift’s relationship became public, Nicole has faced allegations of frequently mentioning Kelce in her interviews.

The podcaster has previously defended herself against those suggesting she ‘move on’ from the breakup, stating: “Life handed me lemons and I made a lemon martini out of it and that upsets people.”
