The individual charged with the murder of Iryna Zarutska should face the ‘death penalty,’ according to Donald Trump.
Trump expressed on Truth Social: “The ANIMAL who so violently killed the beautiful young lady from Ukraine, who came to America searching for peace and safety, should be given a “Quick” (there is no doubt!) Trial, and only awarded THE DEATH PENALTY. There can be no other option!!!”
Zarutska was tragically stabbed in an attack that appeared to be random on August 22. Just minutes later, Decarlos Brown Jr. was arrested as police encountered him at the next location.
Zarutska had sought refuge in the U.S. after escaping the war in Ukraine with her family, including her mother, sister, and brother. She was only 23 years old.
Surveillance footage captured Zarutska boarding the CATS Blue Line, wearing headphones and sitting in the row ahead of Brown, who obscured his face with his hand. They did not have any interaction, as Zarutska was focused on her phone.
