President Donald Trump announced that the United States will now oversee operations in Venezuela following the ‘capture’ of President Maduro.
During a press conference, he stated, “We are going to run the country until such time as we can do a safe, proper and judicious transition.”
In the early hours of Saturday, the U.S. military conducted an operation in Caracas, the capital city of Venezuela.
Trump later shared on Truth Social that the U.S. was responsible for the operation and revealed that President Maduro, along with his wife Cilia Flores, had been captured and removed from the country.
