Trump Comments on Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s Arrest Following Former Prince’s Release

Donald Trump has described the arrest of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, who is suspected of misconduct in public office, as ‘a shame’.

Andrew was taken into custody on the morning of his 66th birthday (February 19) but has since been released.

Authorities have wrapped up their investigation at his Norfolk residence, although their inquiries continue at his property in Berkshire.

In response to the news of his arrest, Trump expressed his thoughts, appearing to empathize with the embattled royal.

While speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One, he said: “I’m the expert in a way because I’ve been totally exonerated. So, I can talk about it. It’s a very sad thing.”
