A post on Truth Social by President Donald Trump has been widely criticized for depicting Barack and Michelle Obama as monkeys, described by many as ‘vile’.
Trump is facing backlash from social media users over his recent post on his Truth Social platform, which targets the former presidential couple.
The controversial video features a clip from a documentary by the Patriot News Outlet, which claims that a Michigan investigation uncovered technology used to manipulate the 2020 presidential election results in favor of Democrat Joe Biden over Trump.
Trump has consistently claimed that the 2020 election was rigged, despite a lack of evidence to support this assertion.
The video maintains a serious tone with an investigator’s interview until the final two seconds of the 1.02-minute clip.
Unexpectedly, at the one-minute mark, the song ‘The Lion Sleeps Tonight’ by the Tokens, known from Disney’s Lion King, starts playing.

Michelle and Barack Obama’s faces are then superimposed onto monkey bodies, set in a rainforest scene, sparking outrage.
This depiction has been met with strong disapproval, with many condemning the image as ‘vile’.
One individual commented: “Being a racist, and posting racist memes, places you on the ladder rung two steps below contempt. I’d call you a pig, but that would be doing a grave disservice to pigs around the world.
“The world awaits your political demise with great anticipation.”
Another expressed regret for supporting Trump, stating: “Can’t believe I voted for you Mr. President. It’s a new low everyday.”
Someone else remarked: “Nothing about this man is surprising anymore. He’s a vile, unoriginal racist.”

Nonetheless, some supported the video, with one person stating: “God bless you, Sir!”
Another individual commented: “Stop the voter fraud Republicans need to grow a spine and get rid of the filibuster then pass legislation that will end the cheating.”
Someone else questioned: “Are these voting machines still being used? Why aren’t they banned?”
The White House responded to the video, with Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt telling LADbible Group: “This is from an internet meme video depicting President Trump as the King of the Jungle and Democrats as characters from the Lion King.
“Please stop the fake outrage and report on something today that actually matters to the American public.”
During the 2020 election, Joe Biden was declared the winner with 51.3 percent of the votes, while Trump received slightly fewer votes nationwide.
