Donald Trump has used social media to send a stern warning to Iran, suggesting potential escalation in response to the protests occurring in the country.
Trump communicated that the United States is prepared to step in if the situation in Iran worsens, as per a recent post from the former president.
The Fars news agency in Iran has reported fatalities as a result of continued protests in Lordegan, located in the southwest part of Iran.
Both the agency and human rights organizations assert that at least six individuals have been killed in the confrontations between demonstrators and security personnel.
The BBC has reported that of those killed, two were in Lordegan, three were in Azna, and one was in Kouhdasht.
Footage shared on social media showcases the unrest within the city, underscoring the dissatisfaction among the populace.

Reports indicate that some protestors are demanding an end to the rule of Iran’s supreme leader, Ali Khamenei. Additionally, there is discontent over the devaluation of the currency against the US dollar.
In light of the reported deaths amid the demonstrations, Trump expressed his views on Truth Social.
He declared: “If Iran shots and violently kills peaceful protesters, which is their custom, the United States of America will come to their rescue. We are locked and loaded and ready to go. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J.TRUMP.”
According to the Telegraph, these remarks have not been well-received by Iranian officials.
Ali Larijani, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, accused Israel and the US of inciting the protests.
He stated: “We distinguish the positions of protesting shopkeepers from destructive elements, and Trump should know that America’s interference in this internal matter equals the disruption of the entire region and the destruction of America’s interests.”
Ali Shamkhani, a former secretary of the council and adviser to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, also criticized the notion of American intervention.
On X, he cautioned: “Any interventionist hand that gets too close to the security of Iran will be cut.”
“The people of Iran properly know the experience of ‘being rescued’ by Americans: from Iraq and Afghanistan to Gaza.”
President Masoud Pezeshkian indicated that his administration is willing to address the ‘legitimate demands’ of the protestors, yet the situation remains volatile with conflicting narratives from the government and demonstrators.
