Donald Trump has provided an explanation for his recent visit to the hospital.
Concerns about the president’s health have been circulating since he was noticed with a ‘large bruise’ on his hand earlier in the year, which seemed to have been concealed by his team using a significant amount of make-up.
The 79-year-old was also diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency (CVI), a condition that arises when the leg veins are damaged and cannot function properly.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt announced earlier this month that Trump was scheduled to visit the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for his annual health examination.
Leavitt stated: “President Trump will stop by for his routine yearly check up. He will then return to the White House. President Trump is considering going to the Middle East shortly thereafter.”

However, CNN reported that Trump had already been to Walter Reed in April for what the White House termed as his ‘annual physical examination’.
Recently, Trump has shared details about the tests conducted during his visit to the hospital on October 10, revealing he had undergone an MRI scan.
An MRI scan is described by the Cleveland Clinic as a ‘test that creates clear images of the structures inside your body using a large magnet, radio waves and a computer’.
While speaking to the press aboard Air Force One on Monday (October 27), the president said: “I gave you the full results. We had an MRI, and the machine, you know, the whole thing, and it was perfect.”
Trump chose not to disclose the reason for the scan but remarked to reporters: “Nobody has ever given you reports like I gave you. And if I didn’t think it was going to be good, either, I would let you know negatively, I wouldn’t run, I’d do something.”

The president appears unconcerned about his health, stating: “The doctor said some of the best reports for the age, some of the best reports they’ve ever seen.”
Speculation about Trump’s health intensified earlier this year following unusual rumors suggesting he had passed away.
This speculation was fueled by various factors, including remarks from Vice President JD Vance.
Vance asserted that he could assume the presidency in the event of a ‘terrible tragedy’.
“I’ve had a lot of on-the-job training in the last 200 days, but the president is in incredibly good health. He’s got incredible energy,” he told USA Today in August.
“While most of the people who work around the president of the United States are younger than he is, I think that we find that he’s actually the last person to go to sleep, he’s the last person making phone calls at night, and he’s the first person who wakes up and is the first person making phone calls in the morning.”
Trump later dismissed the rumors, stating: “NEVER FELT BETTER IN MY LIFE.”
