Trump inadvertently sparks impeachment motion with bewildering online outburst

Donald Trump has unintentionally highlighted the demands for his impeachment while responding to a contentious video circulating online.

Trump addressed the ongoing uproar concerning a video released by six Democratic Party members.

The video features these politicians reminding US armed forces personnel that they have the right to refuse orders if those orders contravene the US Constitution.

The Democrats shared this video amid escalating unease about Trump’s use of the National Guard across the country, alongside threats to deploy the military domestically.

Facing increasing criticism over these actions, Trump reacted angrily to the video, which was directed at US military members.

However, in a social media outburst, Trump seemed to unwittingly bring more focus to those advocating for his impeachment.

Among the posts the president shared was a screenshot of retired naval officer Sen Mark Kelly, who appeared in the video. However, a closer look showed the account was anti-Trump.

The account bore the conspicuous name ‘Impeach Trump a 3rd Time’.

Additionally, it called for a ‘blue wave in ‘26’, in reference to the upcoming midterms, and included images of burning MAGA hats.

In response, the left-wing account Patriot Takes commented: “Uh oh. Trump accidentally boosted anti-Trump account ‘Impeach Trump a 3rd Time!'”

Trump has been engaged in a prolonged online campaign against the six Democratic lawmakers who appeared in the video encouraging military personnel to reject illegal orders.

The 90-second clip showcases the Democratic politicians stating: “Like us, you all swore an oath to protect and defend this constitution.

“And right now, the threats to our constitution aren’t just coming from abroad, but from right here at home.

“Our laws are clear, you can refuse illegal orders, you can refuse illegal orders, you must refuse illegal orders. No one has to carry out orders that violate the law or our constitution.”

Trump lashed out with multiple rants on Truth Social, describing the video as ‘SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR, punishable by DEATH’.

In a concerning move, Trump shared another Truth Social post stating: “HANG THEM GEORGE WASHINGTON WOULD.”

Later, in a Fox News interview, Trump seemed to moderate his remarks, saying: “I’m not threatening death, but I think they’re in serious trouble.”
