Donald Trump has circulated a peculiar email in which he claims to be ‘alone’ and solicits financial support from his followers.
Trump’s team regularly dispatches emails to his supporters emphasizing the necessity for financial contributions, a practice that was particularly notable during his campaign periods.
Yet, the language in this fundraising email was notably unconventional, with a subject line claiming he was ‘alone and in the dark’.
The email proceeded to criticize what Trump referred to as the ‘radical left’, a term he associated with the Democrats, suggesting they would take control of the House and the Senate.
He also used terminology often associated with Elon Musk, mentioning the ‘woke mind virus’, a phrase used by some on the far-right to describe their adversaries.
Despite his billionaire status, Trump urged recipients to financially support the MAGA movement, warning that it would ‘crumble’ without their contributions.
According to the Archive of Political Emails, Trump stated on January 13: “Some people are saying: This is SAD!
“I’m sitting here. Alone. In the war room. Fighting for you.
“The rest of the staff went home hours ago. It’s just me, one dying laptop, and the 72-hour countdown clock to my first mid-month deadline of the year just RANG.”
At this point, Trump referred to the upcoming midterms, which surveys suggest could be challenging for Republicans.
He claimed that the ‘radical left’, or the Democrats, would seize the House and Senate, which would hinder his ability to advance certain policy initiatives.
Trump warned that this shift could lead to ‘your kids brainwashed’ and ‘open borders forever’, as well as the confiscation of firearms.
He also added a personal note: “And worst of all your favorite President (ME!) might just go through another FAKE impeachment!”
In the continuation of the letter, Trump stated that he ‘need[s] a small sacrifice from every red-blooded American who wants to save the country!’
He further remarked: “I’m dead serious: miss this goal and the MAGA Movement crumbles.”
Trump encouraged supporters to contribute $47 within ‘the next 30 minutes’, offering a ‘limited-edition 2026 Trump Calendar’ in return, stressing its importance in comparison to ‘losing the country’.
A prominent blue button accompanying the text read: “This is it. No second chances.”
Trump concluded by reflecting on the years of struggle, expressing concern that ‘the end is near’.
“The woke mind virus is infiltrating more and more Americans every day. This could be our last chance!” the email stated. “Do it for America, show them MAGA is strong!”
Although signed by Trump, it is uncertain if he personally composed the email or if it was crafted by his office staff.
