Trump Mobilizes ‘All Federal Law Enforcement’ in Critical Search for Nancy Guthrie

Donald Trump has affirmed his commitment to utilizing ‘all resources’ in the effort to bring Nancy Guthrie safely back home, according to his latest update.

Nancy Guthrie, the mother of TODAY co-anchor Savannah Guthrie, was declared missing on Sunday, February 1, when she did not attend church services as expected.

The last known sighting of the 84-year-old was on Saturday evening, January 31, at her residence in the Catalina Foothills area of Tucson, Arizona.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Office has reported that she vanished under ‘concerning circumstances’ and has since stated that they suspect an abduction.

Her home is being regarded as an ‘active crime scene.’ Sheriff Chris Nanos informed reporters that she did not leave the home of her own volition.

There have been reports of alleged ransom notes, with media outlets TMZ and CBS affiliate KOLD-TV reportedly receiving notes that demand Bitcoin for Nancy’s release on Tuesday, February 3.

The Sheriff’s County is actively investigating these notes, although a suspect or person of interest has yet to be identified.

The case has sparked global attention, and as the effort to locate Nancy extends into its fifth day, President Trump has taken an active role in the effort.

In a post on Truth Social on Thursday morning, February 5, Trump announced he had spoken to Savannah and assured her that “I am directing ALL Federal Law Enforcement to be at the family’s, and Local Law Enforcement’s, complete disposal, IMMEDIATELY.”

He stated further: “We are deploying all resources to get her mother home safely. The prayers of our Nation are with her and her family.”

“GOD BLESS AND PROTECT NANCY! PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, Savannah and her siblings, Annie and Cameron, have turned to social media, pleading with their mother’s alleged captors.

In a heartfelt video, Savannah expressed: “We are ready to talk. However, we live in a world where voices and images are easily manipulated.”

She continued: “We need to know without a doubt that she is alive and that you have her. We want to hear from you and we are ready to listen. Please, reach out to us.”

They have also highlighted Nancy’s health concerns; while she does not have cognitive issues, she requires daily medication, which she currently lacks.

Savannah elaborated: “She is 84 years old. Her health, her heart is fragile. She lives in constant pain. She is without any medicine. She needs it to survive. She needs it not to suffer.”

In the video, she emphasized: “We will not rest. Your children will not rest until we are together again.”

Savannah, who has been with TODAY as a co-anchor since 2012, was originally set to cover the Winter Olympics opening ceremony in Milan this week.

Nancy has been a familiar presence on the NBC show, frequently appearing alongside Savannah in various features and interviews.

Her latest appearance on TODAY was in November, during Savannah’s visit to Tucson for a ‘homecoming’ segment that highlighted the city’s beauty, community, and her family life.

Nancy is described as being five feet five inches tall, weighing 150 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.
