Donald Trump issued a warning to comedian Trevor Noah following remarks made about the former president at the Grammys.
On February 1, Trevor Noah took on the role of host at the Grammy Awards, where he made several jokes at Donald Trump’s expense. One particular comment seemed to particularly rile the ex-president.
As he was announcing the winner for Song of the Year, Noah alluded to Trump’s repeated interest in acquiring Greenland and his past association with the controversial financier Jeffrey Epstein.
Noah quipped: “Song of the Year — that is a Grammy that every artist wants almost as much as Trump wants Greenland, which makes sense because Epstein’s island is gone, he needs a new one to hang out with Bill Clinton.”
Bill Clinton has repeatedly denied any involvement with Epstein’s criminal activities, despite their acquaintance before Epstein’s death.
Ghislaine Maxwell has stated that Clinton was her friend, not Epstein’s, and she has denied any involvement of Clinton in Epstein’s illegal activities.
Trump has consistently denied any knowledge of Epstein’s crimes and has endeavored to distance himself from him.
Nonetheless, Noah’s joke appeared to provoke Trump enough for him to threaten to bring legal action against the comedian.
In a heated reaction, Trump posted on Truth Social condemning Noah and using some of his familiar disparagements aimed at those in the entertainment field.
He stated: “The Grammy Awards are the WORST, virtually unwatchable! CBS is lucky not to have this garbage litter their airwaves any longer. The host, Trevor Noah, whoever he may be, is almost as bad as Jimmy Kimmel at the Low Ratings Academy Awards.
“Noah said, INCORRECTLY about me, that Donald Trump and Bill Clinton spent time on Epstein Island. WRONG!!! I can’t speak for Bill, but I have never been to Epstein Island, nor anywhere close, and until tonight’s false and defamatory statement, have never been accused of being there, not even by the Fake News Media.
“Noah, a total loser, better get his facts straight, and get them straight fast. It looks like I’ll be sending my lawyers to sue this poor, pathetic, talentless, dope of an M.C., and suing him for plenty$.
“Ask Little George Slopadopolus, and others, how that all worked out. Also ask CBS! Get ready Noah, I’m going to have some fun with you!”
LADbiblegroup has contacted Trevor Noah’s representatives for a response.
