Donald Trump has expressed his thoughts following his wife, Melania, threatening Hunter Biden with a $1 billion lawsuit over claims he made regarding her connections to Jeffrey Epstein.
In a recent interview, Hunter, the son of former President Joe Biden, alleged that Epstein, who was a convicted sex offender, introduced Melania to Trump. The notorious financier, Epstein, died in his jail cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan, New York City, in August 2019.
Epstein had been arrested earlier that year and passed away at the age of 66 while awaiting trial for sex trafficking charges, to which he had pleaded not guilty.
During a discussion with filmmaker Andrew Callaghan, Hunter Biden remarked: “Epstein introduced Melania to Trump – the connections are so wide and deep,” further suggesting in the interview that the alleged Epstein files would ‘implicate’ President Trump.
Following the interview’s release, Melania’s legal team sent a letter to Hunter Biden, according to the BBC. Trump’s wife demanded that Biden retract his ‘false, disparaging, defamatory and inflammatory’ claims and issue an apology, or face a lawsuit of no less than $1 billion.
The letter from lawyer Alejandro Brito accused Biden of causing ‘overwhelming financial and reputational harm’ to Melania.
Brito further claimed, “It is obvious that you published these false and defamatory statements about Mrs. Trump to draw attention to yourself.”
When asked about the situation during The Brian Kilmeade Show, Trump stated that he encouraged Melania to proceed with the legal action. “I told her, ‘Let’s go ahead and do it’,” Trump explained, “I let her use my lawyers.”
Despite the looming threat of legal proceedings, Biden responded assertively in a conversation with Channel 5.

In a follow-up interview with Channel 5’s Andrew Callaghan, when asked if he intended to apologize to Melania, Hunter replied, “F**k that, that’s not going to happen.”
Hunter elaborated, “Fact of the matter is that, you know, I don’t think that these threats of a lawsuit add up to anything other than a design distraction, because it’s not about who introduced whom to whom. I don’t know how that in any way rises to the level of defamation to begin with.
“I also think they’re bullies and they think a billion dollars is going to scare me.”
No verified evidence supports the claim that Epstein played a role in introducing Melania to Trump.
