Trump’s Fierce Reaction to Jimmy Kimmel’s Suspension Over Charlie Kirk Remarks

Donald Trump has spoken out regarding the suspension of Jimmy Kimmel’s show after the host’s controversial comments about Charlie Kirk.

Kimmel’s long-running late-night program has been put on hold indefinitely following remarks he made about Trump and his supporters after the assassination of Kirk.

An ABC representative confirmed to BBC News that “Jimmy Kimmel Live will be pre-empted indefinitely,” signaling an indefinite suspension of the show.

While Kimmel has yet to respond to the suspension, several figures, including Ben Stiller, have criticized ABC’s decision. Stiller expressed his disapproval on Twitter, stating, “This isn’t right.”

Contrarily, many Republicans have voiced their support for Kimmel’s suspension, with some calling for his termination.

In his monologue on Monday, September 15, Kimmel commented, as reported by NBC News: “We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them, and doing everything they can to score political points from it.

“And in between the finger pointing, there was grieving on Friday. The White House flew the flags at half-staff, which got some criticism, but on a human level you can see how hard the president is taking this.”

Kimmel criticized the president for setting aside his supposed grief to concentrate on the construction of the White House’s new $200 million state ballroom.

Targeting Trump, Kimmel remarked: “Yes, he’s at the fourth stage of grief: construction. Demolition, construction. This is not how an adult grieves the murder of someone he called a friend. This is how a 4-year-old mourns a goldfish, OK?”

Trump expressed satisfaction over Kimmel’s suspension during his visit to the UK to see King Charles, taking to Truth Social to share his thoughts.

“Great News for America: The ratings challenged Jimmy Kimmel Show is CANCELLED,” wrote Trump.

“Congratulations to ABC for finally having the courage to do what had to be done. Kimmel has ZERO talent, and worse ratings than even Colbert, if that’s possible. That leaves Jimmy and Seth, two total losers, on Fake News NBC. Their ratings are also horrible. Do it NBC!!!”

Requests for comments have been made to Kimmel’s representatives.
