Trump’s Unusual Request: Seeks Donations for a Heavenly Cause

Donald Trump has appealed to his supporters for a 24-hour ‘fundraising blitz,’ aiming to secure his place in heaven, leaving many on social media puzzled.

The former president, aged 79, has been in the spotlight this week due to various activities, including the Pentagon rebranding, his first US Open appearance in a decade, and dismissing rumors of his demise.

In a surprising move, Trump has reportedly asked his followers for financial contributions to help him ‘get to heaven.’

Newsweek reports that supporters have received emails with the subject ‘I want to try and get to heaven.’

The Trump administration allegedly began sending these emails on August 23, seeking $15 donations during a ’24-hour Trump fundraising blitz,’ which Snopes has verified.

The email references an assassination attempt during a rally in Butler last July, stating: “Last year, I came millimetres from death when that bullet pierced through my skin. My triumphant return to the White House was never supposed to happen!

“But I believe that God saved me for one reason: TO MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!.

“I certainly wasn’t supposed to survive an assassin’s bullet, but by the grace of the almighty God, I did. SO NOW, I have no other choice but to answer the Call to Duty, but I can’t do it alone.”

The Independent reports that follow-up emails were sent regularly after the initial one on August 23.

This revelation comes shortly after Trump appeared on Fox & Friends. During a phone interview on August 19, he expressed his desire to end the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

“If I can save 7,000 people a week from being killed, I think that’s pretty — I want to try to get to heaven if possible,” he stated, according to People.

“I’m hearing that I’m not doing well. I am really at the bottom of the totem pole,” he remarked, “But if I can get to heaven, this will be one of the reasons.”

Karoline Leavitt, when asked for her opinion, affirmed her belief in Trump’s sincerity, saying: “I think the president was serious.

“I think the president wants to get to heaven — as I hope we all do in this room as well.”

Trump’s comments and the content of his fundraising emails have sparked a mixed response on social media. One user on X commented: “Most religious people that have a near-death experience straighten up, seeking forgiveness through repentance. Trump thinks God gave him a second chance to continue the cruelty. So warped.”

Another user wrote, “Trump thinks he’s going to heaven is sending me BAD,” while a third added, “Trump is not going to heaven he’s delusional.”

However, some people believe the 47th President deserves a place in heaven, with one supporter asserting: “I want Trump to go to heaven.”

Another remarked: “Do not judge or you’re gonna be judged.”

Someone else expressed: “Trump is going to heaven for saving so many.”
