Tucker Carlson has reported a bizarre experience where he claims to have been ‘mauled by a demon’ while he slept, resulting in ‘claw marks’ across his body.
The ex-Fox News host described the event as leaving him with bleeding wounds and scars, yet he remains puzzled about the exact nature of the creature responsible for his injuries.
During a conversation with John Heers for Scooter Downey’s documentary Christianities?, Carlson recounted that he was asleep alongside his wife and four dogs when the incident occurred.
Despite the logical assumption that the dogs might have been responsible for the scratches, Carlson insists otherwise.
In the interview, Heers questioned Carlson on whether he believed that ‘the presence of evil is prompting people to reflect on the good.’
Carlson firmly responded, “That’s what happened to me. I had a direct experience with it.
“In my bed at night. And I got attacked while I was asleep with my wife and four dogs and mauled, physically mauled.”
When pressed for details on what attacked him, he replied: “By a demon. Or by something unseen that left claw marks on my sides.
“I was totally confused, I woke up, and I couldn’t breathe, and I thought I was going to suffocate.
“And I walked around outside and then I walked in and my wife and dogs had not woken up. And they’re very light sleepers.
“And then I had these terrible pains on my rib cage and on my shoulder, and I was just in my boxer shorts and I went and flipped on the light in the bathroom, and I had four claw marks on either side underneath my arms and on my left shoulder. And they’re bleeding.”
Carlson stated that the marks couldn’t have been self-inflicted as they didn’t match his hand size and he typically sleeps on his side with short nails.
“No one has to believe me, I don’t care, but that happened to me,” he stated, noting that he hadn’t heard of such experiences before but immediately recognized it as spiritual.
He revealed that upon waking the next day, he initially thought he had a nightmare until he noticed the blood on his bedsheets.
After this chilling event, Carlson felt an overwhelming urge to read the Bible, describing it as a ‘transformative experience’ that involved repeatedly engaging with the text over a couple of years.
