A White House spokesperson is blasting a California college counselor who cheered as students decapitated a Donald Trump piñata in a video that spread online last week.
Davis Ingle, a spokesperson for the Trump administration, ripped the scene at Contra Costa College in San Pablo, California, where counselor Lorena Gonzalez appeared to celebrate the mock beheading. The undated footage, which surfaced publicly via Libs of TikTok, shows a blindfolded person striking the piñata while surrounded by onlookers.
“Anyone who engages in or endorses political violence or assassination culture must be condemned in the harshest terms possible,” Ingle said in a statement.
“They should also immediately seek psychiatric help to treat their severe and debilitating case of Trump Derangement Syndrome that has warped their brains and made them sick in the head,” he added.
The piñata depicted Trump in a blue suit and red baseball cap, clutching a sign that read “F— ICE.” After the blindfolded individual struck off its head, an unidentified man hoisted the decapitated figure overhead to cheers from the student group.

The incident reportedly took place several months ago but only gained widespread attention when Libs of TikTok posted it last week. Gonzalez, who works as a counselor at the community college, was identified in the footage as appearing to celebrate the destruction.
Contra Costa College addressed the controversy in a statement to Libs of TikTok, asserting that officials “do not condone or allow violent political rhetoric.” The institution characterized the matter as “addressed as a personnel matter,” declining to specify any disciplinary action taken against Gonzalez or others involved.
Neither Gonzalez nor additional college representatives immediately responded to follow-up requests for comment from Fox News Digital.
The video’s emergence comes amid heightened scrutiny of political expression on college campuses, with conservative accounts like Libs of TikTok regularly highlighting incidents they characterize as left-wing bias or hostility toward Republican figures. The account noted in an X post that the beheading occurred months before the footage became public.
