Virginia Giuffre’s family has expressed strong disapproval of Donald Trump following his recent comments about his connection with Jeffrey Epstein. Trump’s past friendship with Epstein has been a subject of increased examination in recent times.
The FBI and Department of Justice recently made headlines by revealing they found no evidence of a ‘client list’ that Epstein allegedly used for blackmailing influential figures. In a recent interview, Trump provided details about the end of his and Epstein’s friendship, which caught the attention of Giuffre’s family, prompting them to respond critically.
While speaking to reporters on Air Force One, Trump commented, “He took people that work for me, and I told him, don’t do it anymore. And he did it. I said, stay the hell out of here.”
Trump further implied that Giuffre, as a teenager, could have been among those targeted by Epstein. He stated, “I told him, I said, listen, we don’t want you taking our people, whether it was spa or not spa. I don’t want him taking people. And he was fine. And then, not too long after that, he did it again. And I said, out of here.”
When questioned if Giuffre was among those involved, Trump replied, “I don’t know. I think she worked at the spa. I think so. I think that was one of the people, yeah, he stole her. And by the way, she had no complaints about us, as you know, none whatsoever.”
A report by Mail Online conveyed the Giuffre family’s shock at Trump’s remarks, particularly his acknowledgment of her being ‘stolen’ from Mar-a-Lago, Trump’s Florida estate.
In their statement, the family questioned if Trump was aware of Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell’s illegal activities, especially considering Trump’s later remark about Epstein’s interest in younger women. They emphasized, “We and the public are asking for answers; survivors demand this.”
The family also criticized the notion of Maxwell providing information on Epstein’s crimes. Their statement noted, “If our sister could speak today, she would be most angered by the fact that the government is listening to a known perjurer. A woman who repeatedly lied under oath and will continue to do so as long as it benefits her position.”
