Virginia Giuffre’s death at her residence last week was officially recorded as a suicide, but her father has his doubts regarding the circumstances surrounding her death.
According to her family, Giuffre passed away at her home in the Neergabby area of Western Australia on April 25.
Giuffre was widely known for her accusations against Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, alleging sex trafficking and grooming.
Additionally, she accused Prince Andrew of being involved, claiming she was ‘forced to have sex’ with him at Epstein’s New York apartment. Prince Andrew has consistently denied these allegations.
In 2022, Giuffre and Prince Andrew reached a financial settlement reportedly amounting to $16.3 million (£12 million) outside of court, with Prince Andrew not admitting any wrongdoing as part of the agreement.
In a recent conversation with Piers Morgan on his YouTube program, Uncensored, Sky Roberts expressed his disbelief that his daughter ended her life voluntarily.
In his discussion with Morgan, Roberts stated: “Somebody got to her.”
He also shared his initial reaction to the news of her passing and the reasons behind his belief that foul play was involved.
Roberts commented: “Well, first of all, I couldn’t even believe it. I mean, I started crying right away. I’m still crying. I can’t believe that this is happening. It just, it’s impossible.
“And then for them to say that she committed suicide, there’s no way that she did.”
He emphasized his desire for his daughter to be remembered for her persistence in seeking justice against Ghislane Maxwell and Epstein.
Once more, he stressed that he did not believe she ended her own life.
Roberts said: “As someone who actually got out of a bad situation and made a good situation out of it, that she was helping a lot of other young girls that were feeling the pain of what goes on with people like that… I think she’s strong, very strong, and that’s why I don’t think she committed suicide.
“She had too much to live for. She had her foundation.”
Following Giuffre’s passing, her family commended her determination and urged that she be remembered for her efforts against sexual abuse and trafficking.
The family’s statement read: “She lost her life to suicide, after being a lifelong victim of sexual abuse and sex trafficking.”
“Virginia was a fierce warrior in the fight against sexual abuse and sex trafficking. She was the light that lifted so many survivors.”
“In the end, the toll of abuse is so heavy that it became unbearable for Virginia to handle its weight.”
