The World’s First Wine Theme Park Is Here And It’s Amazing

Move over Disneyland, there’s finally an adult theme park that’s thrown out the rollercoasters, screaming kids, and soggy pizza slices for wine, wine, and, er, more wine.

La Cite du Vin or, the City of Wine, recently opened in Bordeaux, France (where else?) offering endless vino and fine dining for grown-ups.

It even has it’s own ultra-modern version of Disney’s famous castle, a 10-story building housing an auditorium for wine classes, 20 themed areas to explore the history and culture of wine, wine workshops and tasting sessions.

Plus there’s a plush chair where you can sit, enjoy your drink, and listen to famous stories about people drinking lots of wine (really).

And if you’re desperate for a traditional coaster you can go on a simulated boat-ride recreating the journey of wine merchants (maybe not straight after the wine tasting, though).

When you get peckish, there’s two restaurants on site offering regional dishes, tapas, and a whopping 800 bottles of wine from around the world.

Admission prices are around $20 a ticket, so (ignoring the price of flights), you really have no excuse.
