Wedding Crashers Actor, 74, Shares Behind-the-Scenes Story of Notorious Nude Scene with Owen Wilson, 57

Wedding Crashers actress Jane Seymour has opened up about the details behind filming the unforgettable nude scene with Owen Wilson, sharing that both of them were ‘very nervous’ during the process.

The movie, written by Steve Faber and Bob Fisher and directed by David Dobkin, featured Wilson alongside Vince Vaughn, Isla Fisher, Christopher Walken, and Rachel McAdams.

In the film, Wilson and Vaughn portray two divorce mediators who regularly crash weddings in hopes of meeting women.

Upon its release, the comedy became a major success, ranking as the sixth highest-grossing film in the United States for 2005.

Seymour took on the role of Kathleen Cleary, who attempts to seduce Wilson’s character, John, by removing her top and asking him to touch her breasts.

Discussing the experience of filming that scene, Seymour told PEOPLE recently, “Owen was actually very nervous about the whole experience, and I was too!

“But when I’m in character, I’m Kathleen Cleary. So, I said, ‘Jane Seymour might have a problem with what you’re going to do, but currently I’m not her. I’m Kathleen.’ And at first he was like, ‘Ooh, I don’t know.’

“David Dobkin would say, ‘Can you just relax your fingers a little bit? Can you just move your fingers slightly?’

“So, the whole experience of shooting it was funnier even than the actual scene!”

Seymour went on to say that Wilson contributed to the conclusion of the scene, noting, “After we’d done the scene and we were doing one more last take, Owen whispered to me and just said, ‘When the scene finishes and you leave, just say “Pervert”‘.

“I said, ‘Okay’ and that was the button that that scene needed, and it was amazing.”

The film has consistently been a favorite among audiences, including Wilson himself. Earlier this year, he talked about the possibility of doing another installment.

Wilson told UNILAD: “We’ve always kind of talked about Wedding Crashers – that there could be something there.

“And I think we still sort of think maybe there’s something there. So, who knows.”

Many consider Wedding Crashers as one of the greatest films ever, and one fan even speculated on what a sequel could entail, suggesting on X: “Everybody calm down, there’s gonna be a Wedding Crashers sequel one day and it’s *obviously* gonna be about Vaughn and Wilson and Fisher and McAdams trying to stop young louts from crashing their own kids’ weddings. We just have to wait like a decade at most.”
