Wendy Williams has spoken out in response to the recent allegations against Diddy during a new interview.
Recently, over 100 individuals came forward with accusations of sexual assault against Diddy, leading to lawsuits being filed.
Some of these allegations reportedly date back to 1991, with one accuser alleging they were only nine years old at the time of the incident.
Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs, was previously arrested for charges including sex trafficking, drug possession, and firearms offenses in September. The indictment accuses him of coercing female victims into engaging in sexual acts with male sex workers, referring to these events as ‘freak offs’.
The music mogul is currently awaiting trial at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York City.
Diddy’s lawyer, Erica Wolff, has stated to UNILAD that her client ’emphatically and categorically’ denies all charges.
Williams has been vocal in her criticism of Combs over the years.
In an interview with the Daily Mail, the host of The Wendy Williams Show disclosed that many people told her she had ‘called it’ following the rapper’s arrest.
She also commented on the 2016 incident where Diddy was seen assaulting his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura in a hotel lobby.
CNN released CCTV footage of the incident earlier this year in May.
The video, dated March 5, 2016, captures Ventura and Combs at the InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles, which has since been closed.
The footage depicts Ventura approaching an elevator, with Combs, clad only in a towel, chasing after her.
Combs is seen grabbing Ventura by the neck, throwing her to the ground, and then kicking her twice before dragging her by her sweatshirt towards a hotel room.
He eventually walks away while Ventura gathers her belongings. Combs then returns, throws an object at her, and leaves again.
Williams commented: “You know how I feel about that? It is about time. To see this video on TV of [Cassie] getting pummelled… it was just horrific.”
She continued: “But now you have to think, how many more times? How many people? How many more women? It’s just so horrible.”
Last year, Ventura filed a lawsuit in Federal District Court in Manhattan, alleging Combs ‘frequently beat’ her during their tumultuous relationship of around ten years.
The lawsuit detailed that Combs was a ‘serial domestic abuser, who would regularly beat and kick Ms Ventura, leaving black eyes, bruises, and blood’.
Combs ‘vehemently denie[d]’ these claims, as stated by his lawyer to UNILAD at the time.
On November 17, just a day after the lawsuit was filed, Combs and Ventura announced that they had reached a settlement. The hotel lobby video emerged approximately six months later.
