White House delivers sharp rebuttal following Ariana Grande’s criticism of Trump backers

Ariana Grande has been advised to ‘save your tears’ by the White House following her critical post about the Trump administration.

On Sunday (September 28), the Wicked star shared a message on Instagram that didn’t hold back in expressing disapproval.

It began with: “I want to check in with Trump voters. I have one very genuine question.”

The message continued: “It’s been 250 days. Now that immigrants have been violently torn from their families and communities have been destroyed, now that trans people have been blamed for virtually everything and live in fear, now that free speech is on the brink of collapse for us all – has your life gotten better?”

The post further challenged MAGA supporters: “Have your groceries gotten cheaper? Has your health insurance premium gone down? Has your work/life balance improved? Can you take a vacation yet? Are you happier?

“Has the widespread suffering of others paid off for you in the way he promised it would, or are you still waiting?”

This isn’t the first time the singer has engaged in political discourse. In 2020, she endorsed Bernie Sanders for president. Four years later, she supported Kamala Harris, who ran against Trump in the November election.

Her comments have sparked reactions in Washington DC, with White House spokesperson Kush Desai responding: “Save your tears, Ariana, because President Trump’s actions ended Joe Biden’s inflation crisis and are bringing in trillions in new investments.”

Desai even referenced Grande’s song ‘just like magic,’ saying: “He even signed an executive order just like magic that paved the way for the FTC [Federal Trade Commission] to crack down on Ticketmaster for ripping off Ariana Grande’s concert-going fans.

“Get well soon, Ariana!”

In June, Grande highlighted Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s strong criticism of Trump’s actions in Iran, which the Democrat viewed as a ‘grave violation of the Constitution and Congressional War Powers.’

Ocasio-Cortez stated that Trump’s move was ‘absolutely and clearly grounds for impeachment.’

She wrote: “The President’s disastrous decision to bomb Iran without authorization is a grave violation of the Constitution and Congressional War Powers. He has impulsively risked launching a war that may ensnare us for generations.”

However, the president defended the operation, describing it as necessary to protect American interests and support Israel amid escalating tensions in the Middle East.
