The White House shared a cryptic post late on Thursday (March 26) suggesting that an ‘exciting announcement’ is coming at some point on Friday (March 27).
The Trump administration has continued its unconventional approach to communication, often treating major updates more like a dramatic rollout than a routine government statement.
With Trump frequently labelled the “social media president,” official White House accounts hinted at what’s next by posting a brief seven-second clip on X.
The video opens on a blank black screen, before switching to a sketched outline of the White House, with Trump’s full name displayed beneath it.
Online sleuths quickly experimented with the audio, and some who played it backwards claimed it revealed the phrase “exciting announcement tomorrow.”

Beyond that, the post offers no clear details about what the announcement will involve.
Alongside the video, the White House also uploaded three heavily pixelated images — two appearing to show President Trump and one showing Vice President JD Vance.
Kaelan Dorr, Deputy Assistant to the President and White House Deputy Communications Director, added to the intrigue with a message on X: “It will all be clear in due time…”
As the teaser circulated, speculation spread rapidly across social media about what might be revealed.
Media personality Mario Nawfal posted his own rundown of the mystery, writing: “The White House spent days posting cryptic pixelated photos, garbled audio, and deleted videos. People reportedly deciphered some of the images, and theories are swirling: alien disclosure, Trump’s signature on dollar bills for America’s 250th birthday, or, my personal favorite, the $500 gold Trump phone.”
Another user focused on the tone of the clip itself, commenting: “White House having a lot of fun with cryptic messages tonight. They’ve posted what looks like an ‘analog horror’ style clip — reversed audio, eerie tune, low voice in the background, all the spooky stuff.”

The teaser comes as Trump continues to push party unity. On Wednesday (March 25), he addressed the National Republican Congressional Committee’s fundraising dinner in Washington, D.C., encouraging Republicans to stay aligned despite reports of sliding ratings.
He told the crowd: “We will make America strong again. We will make America proud again. We will make America safe again, and most importantly, we will make America great again.
“Thank you very much Republicans, go out and win the midterms!”
The US midterm elections are scheduled for November 3 this year, set to be a major political moment for Trump two years after his election win.
