A photograph of Donald Trump, taken shortly before the United States proclaimed it had “totally and completely obliterated” three nuclear facilities in Iran, has been made public.
On the previous evening, Trump declared that the U.S. had targeted the Iranian locations of Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan, describing the operation as a “spectacular military success.”
“Iran’s key nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely and totally obliterated. Iran, the bully of the Middle East, must now make peace – if they do not, future attacks will be far greater and a lot easier,” he stated.
As the situation intensified between the two nations following conflicts involving Iran and Israel, American stealth bombers were observed departing from the U.S. and heading toward a military installation located 3,000 miles from the Middle East.
Trump promptly commented on the conflict after Israel initiated a major assault on Iran’s nuclear sites on June 13, leading to retaliatory strikes between the countries.
There has been significant concern among global leaders about the possibility of Iran developing nuclear weapons. Despite this, Trump opted for a different approach, openly threatening Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
In a post on Truth Social last week, Trump wrote: “We know exactly where the so-called ‘Supreme Leader’ is hiding. He is an easy target, but is safe there – We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now.
“But we don’t want missiles shot at civilians, or American soldiers. Our patience is wearing thin. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”
Iran dismissed his remarks and issued its own threats. The U.S. involvement in the Iran-Israel conflict intensified as it launched an unexpected bombing on Iran the previous night.
Subsequently, the White House shared images from the Situation Room, where strategic planning is conducted, taken moments before the air strikes.
In these photographs, Trump can be seen wearing his ‘Make America Great Again’ red cap, with Vice President JD Vance seated next to him.
The images were captioned: “President Donald J. Trump in The Situation Room, June 21, 2025.”
Trump announced on Truth Social that the U.S. had successfully carried out the bombing in Iran, writing: “We have completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan.
“All planes are now outside of Iran airspace. A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordo.
“All planes are safely on their way home. Congratulations to our great American Warriors. There is not another military in the World that could have done this. NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE! Thank you for your attention to this matter.”
Iran’s foreign minister, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, condemned the U.S. action as “outrageous, extremely dangerous, lawless and criminal behaviour.”
“The United States, a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, has committed a grave violation of the UN Charter, international law and the NPT by attacking Iran’s peaceful nuclear installations,” he shared on Twitter.
“The events this morning are outrageous and will have everlasting consequences.
“Each and every member of the UN must be alarmed over this extremely dangerous, lawless and criminal behavior. In accordance with the UN Charter and its provisions allowing a legitimate response in self-defense, Iran reserves all options to defend its sovereignty, interest, and people.”
