Whoopi Blows Up At Media For Questioning Biden’s Mental Health

During Thursday’s episode of “The View,” Whoopi Goldberg slammed anybody who dared to question President Joe Biden’s mental acuity after he called for a recently dead Congresswoman at a White House event.

During a hunger conference, Biden invited Congresswoman Jackie Walorski (R-IN), even though she died in a vehicle accident last month, to celebrate her efforts on the subject.

Goldberg erupted on ABC’s lunchtime chat program in response to Biden’s gaffe and the number of media outlets who questioned White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre about it during a briefing.

“You know, my my, come on,” Goldberg said, shaking her head, then claiming that reporters were only concerned about Biden’s gaffe because he was doing so well on other subjects that they couldn’t criticize him.”

“You can’t go after him for, you know, not giving aid to Florida, or not tackling the infrastructure, and he’s giving aid to Ukraine, so you can’t go after him for that but you can go after him for forgetting that someone has passed,” Goldberg continued. “I mean, she passed last month not, like, a hundred years ago, okay?”

Her co-hosts swiftly piled in, with Joy Behar claiming that previous President Donald Trump thought Frederick Douglass was still alive and Sara Haines attributing the blunder to a “brain fart” or “mommy brain.”

She added that everyone makes errors occasionally, but Jean-Pierre had certainly exacerbated the problem by repeatedly stating that Biden had not forgotten about Walorski’s death and had requested her because she was “top of mind.”

Sunny Hostin, co-host, then blamed “ageism” for Americans’ worry when their president appeared unaware that the woman he requested was deceased.

“You go to other countries and our elders are revered,” she complained. “I hate that about this country!”

Alyssa Farah Griffin, a new Republican co-host, defended Biden by noting that he has been “gaffe-prone” throughout his tenure in public office, even going so far as to call it an “endearing” trait.

“I know this table, and myself, do not want to see Donald Trump as President,” Griffin continued, asking whether the others believed — all things considered — that President Biden was the best-equipped to beat Trump in a potential 2024 match-up.

“If this is any indication, I do,” Goldberg insisted.
