An influencer has openly discussed her passion for plastic surgery, even after spending $85,000 on corrective procedures when her buttock implants unexpectedly “fell out” during a gym session.
Chelsea Robinson shared on ITV’s Olivia Attwood: The Price of Perfection that her career as a glamor model initiated her cosmetic surgery journey. She felt insecure about her body while being in the company of other voluptuous models.
“I kind of fell into lingerie modelling, but I felt like I wasn’t competing with the other glamour models that I was seeing,” she explained.
“I had no boobs, I had like an A-cup, so I wanted to look like everyone else.”
This marked the beginning of her surgical journey, leading to a challenging experience.
Currently, Robinson has spent approximately $140,000 on various cosmetic procedures to enhance her appearance and has no desire to halt her transformations.
Robinson traveled from London to the Dominican Republic in 2019 to achieve her ideal figure, but a workout mishap led to her buttock implants “coming out.”
The social media personality mentioned she conducted her own research on the Caribbean destination, believing “they were the best at doing bum implants.”
“But then, when I got back from there, I went to the gym. I was squatting in the gym, and I felt something.
“My leg went all tingly, and I felt something come out. My implant was hanging,” she shared.
She soon realized the implant had dislodged from beneath her muscle, a “horrendous” realization that made her regret her decision to pursue “enhancements.”
“If I knew all the ins and outs, I would have never got the bum implants because that was the worst, absolute worst journey I’ve ever been through, and it wasn’t worth it,” she stated.
In addition to the initial cost, she had to spend another $85,000 to fix the implants.
Despite this ordeal, she remains undeterred in her pursuit of cosmetic procedures.
Though she has sworn off further buttock enhancements, other cosmetic surgeries remain part of her plans.
Robinson explained that beauty trends can be addictive, causing a constant desire for more procedures to achieve the perfect look.
“There’s always something else you need, you want, or something that could make you look better,” she said. “It’s almost like adrenaline, and I feel like that’s what you’re chasing as well.”
Her quest for perfection started in her teenage years, as she scheduled her first breast augmentation as soon as she turned 18.
Since then, she has undergone two additional breast surgeries and currently has implants weighing 1kg each.
Reflecting on her journey, she said: “All in all, I’ve definitely spent over £100,000, probably £105,000. It’s been eleven years, and a pricey eleven years.”
