Autumn Urker says her family is “disgusted” with Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s public statements following Ken Urker’s death.
Autumn, 31, Ken’s sister, said in an interview published Saturday that Blanchard has not reached out to the family directly. “We are disgusted with her statements!” she said. “She hasn’t even called my mother or any of us yet.”

Autumn painted a portrait of her brother as a man who gave unconditional love to those around him. “He didn’t care if you were broken,” she said. “He would still love you” and “still fight for you,” She added that “he tried so hard for Gypsy because he was that [kind of] person.”

“My brother was a good father, a good brother, a good son and a good friend,” she continued. “And we were all lucky and blessed to have known him.”
The family’s anger intensified over what Autumn called Blanchard’s false claims about discovering Ken’s body. In a separate interview with the US Sun published Friday, Autumn disputed Blanchard’s account that Ken, 34, was found only after he failed to respond to a birthday text from her.
“Gypsy had no right to lie and say that it was because of some text that she sent to him,” Autumn fired back.

Autumn also rejected Blanchard’s narrative that the couple was still building a future together. She claimed Blanchard had been telling people she and Ken were “engaged and planning baby number two,” which Autumn said was not true. According to Autumn, the pair “were not together” and had split “over a month ago,” with Ken being the one who ended the relationship. “When he was like, ‘I’m done,’ she’d do a thing, and so it was a fight whenever they split,” she added.

Blanchard, 35, and Ken shared 1-year-old daughter Aurora Raina, born in December 2024.

Ken was found dead in his bed at his Raceland, Louisiana, home last Thursday, which was his 34th birthday. Reports said that authorities found drugs, drug paraphernalia and a handgun at the scene. A 911 dispatch log revealed that Anita Blanchard, Gypsy’s sister-in-law, told the dispatcher that Ken had threatened suicide shortly before his death.

In the immediate aftermath, Blanchard said she suspected Ken died of an overdose. “I don’t know if it was intentional or not,” she said. “He was not in a good state of mind lately.”
Blanchard honored Ken in a lengthy statement shared on her Instagram Stories alongside never-before-seen photos of him with their daughter. “Ken was an amazing father and a man who was deeply loved,” the statement read in part. “He will forever be my soulmate and my red string, a connection that time, distance and even death can never erase.”

Blanchard gained national attention as the victim of Munchausen syndrome by proxy, a case of severe medical child abuse in which her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard, forced her to undergo unnecessary medical treatments for years while confining her to a wheelchair. Gypsy eventually orchestrated her mother’s 2015 murder with then-boyfriend Nicholas Godejohn, leading to her own prison sentence. She was released in December 2023 after serving eight years, quickly becoming a public figure with a large social media following and multiple relationships documented in the press.

Ryan Anderson, Blanchard’s ex-husband whom she married and divorced after her release, also broke his silence on Ken’s death in comments to the outlet.

Autumn Urker has not indicated whether the family plans any formal memorial events for her brother.
