Why People Doubt the ‘Miracle’ Claim by Surgeon Who Operated on Charlie Kirk

The executive producer of The Charlie Kirk Show has shared a remarkable claim about a ‘miracle’ that reportedly occurred during the final moments of the Turning Point USA co-founder.

Charlie Kirk, a 31-year-old father of two, was tragically shot while addressing an event for his Conservative student organization at Utah Valley University, Orem, on September 10.

Andrew Kolvet, taking to Twitter, shared that his former boss may have saved lives by taking a bullet to the neck, preventing it from harming others behind him.

“I want to address some of the discussion about the lack of an exit wound with Charlie. I’m usually not interested in delving into most of this kind of online chatter, and I apologize this is somewhat graphic, but in this case, the fact that there wasn’t an exit wound is probably another miracle, and I want people to know,” he posted.

“I just spoke with the surgeon who worked on Charlie in the hospital,” he added.

Kolvet relayed that the doctor had said: “[the bullet] absolutely should have gone through, which is very very normal for a high powered, high velocity round. I’ve seen wounds from this caliber many times and they always just go through everything. This would have taken a moose or two down, an elk, etc.”

The executive producer further explained that he informed the doctor about the people standing behind the tent, to which the surgeon reportedly responded: “It was an absolute miracle that someone else didn’t get killed.

“His bone was so healthy and the density was so so impressive that he’s like the man of steel. It should have just gone through and through. It likely would have killed those standing behind him too.”

Kolvet concluded: “But it [the bullet] didn’t go through. Charlie’s body stopped it.”

Kolvet added: “In the end, the coroner did find the bullet just beneath the skin. Even in death, Charlie managed to save the lives of those around him. Remarkable. Miraculous.”

Despite these claims, users on social media have expressed skepticism regarding Kolvet’s statements, questioning the likelihood of Kirk’s neck bone being able to stop a bullet. However, some point out that extraordinary stories can often resemble miracles.

In response to the post, one user commented: “So the wound we saw was an entry wound? Where did the bullet end up in his body? Which one of these super healthy bones were strong enough to stop a [a bullet from a] 30-06 [Springfield cartridge sniper rifle]?”

Another user remarked: “None of this happened. You just made it up.”

A third chimed in: “‘His bone was so healthy and the density was so so impressive that he’s like the man of steel. It should have just gone through and through. It likely would have killed those standing behind him too.’ This quote is absolutely ridiculous.”

Another added: “You do realize this is highly improbable.”

“Any expert analysis of the video will show that the bullet ricocheted off of a most likely steel/titanium stealth vest that Charlie was wearing. The trajectory of the ricochet went into his neck and most likely into the cranial cavity.

“Andrew, can you confirm that Charlie was wearing a vest?”
