Witnesses Report ‘Miracle’ at Las Vegas Church as Face Appears During Service

Churchgoers in Las Vegas believe they experienced a ‘miracle’ during a mass service.

This extraordinary event reportedly occurred at the St Thomas More Catholic Church in Nevada during the observance of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

As Father Edmund Nnadozie delivered his sermon, the congregation suddenly erupted with excitement over what they believed they had seen.

Many parishioners claimed they witnessed an image appearing in the fabric draped near the altar.

This piece of fabric was placed over a pedestal, supporting a statue of Our Lady of Guadalupe, celebrated annually on December 12.

Images of the event have been circulated online, showing what appears to be a ‘human face’ formed by the wrinkles in the fabric.

One of the witnesses, Ben Yzaguirre, shared his thoughts.

He expressed to Fox5 Vegas: “I believe it’s a miracle, a sign from Heaven. It’s beautiful to see, and I’m glad I was able to be a part of that.”

Other members of the congregation echoed Yzaguirre’s sentiments, expressing agreement with what he observed.

Someone remarked online: “I was there at this Mass. Miracles happen.”

Skeptics suggested the event was simply a coincidence or a case of mass influence, arguing that humans often perceive faces in patterns as part of natural recognition.

Nonetheless, Father Nnadozie dismissed the idea of coincidence, especially given the context of Our Lady of Guadalupe’s celebration. He firmly believed it was a ‘miracle,’ asserting that none of the 800 attendees had tampered with the fabric.

“I looked at it, I’m like, ‘Oh, wait a minute,’ I looked at it again, and that was the face of, you know, it’s Our Lady,” he asserted.

This event has drawn comparisons to the 1531 tale of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

According to the story, the Virgin Mary appeared to Juan Diego on Tepeyac Hill, near present-day Mexico City.

She requested a church be built in her honor, and Diego collected roses in his cloak as evidence, despite it being winter when flowers were scarce.

When he revealed the cloak to a skeptical bishop, the roses tumbled out, leaving an image of the Virgin Mary imprinted on the fabric.

Those present at the service believe something similar occurred during their mass, interpreting the supposed image as a divine blessing.

Nnadozie shared with Fox5 Vegas: “I think maybe Our Lady was sending a message to us, ‘Hey, I’m still around, I know today is a celebration of my day, and I can still show myself’.

“God chooses when a miracle happens, and a miracle can happen in Las Vegas.”

“Sometimes the world or the community needs these things as well, and it’s not just for us to keep to ourselves,” he explained, noting that it’s a gift meant for everyone, not just the parishioners and on-site witnesses.
