Woman, 20, discovered deceased on bus with 26 iPhones attached to her body as startling theory surfaces

A startling incident has unfolded following the discovery of a young woman deceased on a bus, with 26 iPhones affixed to her body.

The 20-year-old woman from Brazil was found unresponsive during her journey last month.

On July 29, authorities were alerted to an emergency involving a woman who had fallen ill on a bus headed for São Paulo.

The bus had made a stop at a restaurant in central Paraná, Brazil, when the woman reportedly experienced breathing difficulties, possibly had a seizure, and subsequently suffered a cardiac arrest.

Despite the efforts of the emergency responders who administered CPR for 45 minutes, the woman, whose identity remains undisclosed, could not be revived.

The case took an unexpected twist when law enforcement officers discovered numerous iPhones glued to her body, along with other unexplained items in her bags.

An autopsy revealed multiple packages taped to her, including 26 mobile phones, as well as additional cellphones and alcoholic beverages inside her luggage.

Authorities have since proposed a theory, suggesting she may have been attempting to transport illicit goods during her solitary trip from Foz do Iguaçu to São Paulo.

According to The Mirror, investigators believe that the items discovered support the notion of smuggling activities.

Her remains have been sent to the Forensic Medical Institute, and the iPhones and other items found in her possession have been confiscated by the federal police.

While the Paraná Civil Police continue their investigation, a forensic report is awaited to determine the cause of the respiratory incident that led to her cardiac arrest.

It is speculated that a seizure may have caused her breathing difficulties, leading to cardiac arrest when her heart stopped.

Her identity remains undisclosed as the investigation is ongoing, but it has been confirmed that sniffer dogs found no drugs on her person.

Police informed the Brazilian news outlet Globo: “The Paraná Civil Police are investigating the case and awaiting the conclusion of forensic reports to clarify the cause of death.”

They also noted: “According to preliminary information, the woman, who was alone, was traveling from Foz do Iguaçu to São Paulo.

“The 26 cell phones that were glued to her body were seized and sent to the Federal Revenue Service.”
