A woman accused of opening fire on Rihanna’s Beverly Hills home has now been formally charged with attempted murder over the incident.
According to the Los Angeles Times, officers were first called to the property at around 1:21pm local time on Sunday March 8 after reports that at least 10 shots had been fired at the Umbrella singer’s residence.
Rihanna, her partner A$AP Rocky, their three children and Rihanna’s mother were all said to be at the house when the shooting took place.
No injuries were reported, despite the number of shots fired.
Authorities have identified the suspect as Ivanna Lisette Ortiz. She was charged on Tuesday with one count of attempted murder, 10 counts of assault on a person with a semiautomatic firearm and three counts of shooting at an inhabited dwelling.

While examining the scene, LAPD spokesperson Armen Arias said investigators found bullet holes in a gate at the property, along with damage to an RV parked in the driveway.
Dispatch audio obtained by the Los Angeles Times indicated that a white Tesla—allegedly used by the woman who fired the shots—left the area shortly after the gunfire.
Police later located the car in a shopping center parking lot in Sherman Oaks with help from a helicopter, and the suspect was taken into custody without incident roughly 30 minutes after the reported shooting.
Arias added: “When they pulled the suspect over and took her into custody, they searched the vehicle and located an assault rifle and seven casings.”
Investigators believe Ortiz traveled from Florida to Los Angeles, LA police chief Jim McDonnell said, though he noted that exactly when she made the trip remains unclear. Her latest listed address was in Orlando, and she has reportedly been a licensed speech pathologist for more than 10 years.

Officials have not confirmed any link between Ortiz and Rihanna, and a motive has not been made public. The investigation remains ongoing as detectives work to establish what led up to the shooting.
The LA public defender’s office has been appointed to represent Ortiz at her next court appearance and said in a statement on Tuesday: “As in every case, we will work to ensure that our client receives the full protections guaranteed under the constitution.”
Ortiz is scheduled to be arraigned on March 25. She is being held on $1.8m bail.
