One woman believes she may have uncovered an unusual pattern that points to the winner of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The tournament is being staged across Mexico, Canada and the US, and with 48 teams in the competition, the 2026 edition is the biggest World Cup in history. As the knockout rounds get underway, the race for the trophy is still wide open.
With so many contenders left standing, predicting the eventual champion remains difficult. However, content creator Paige thinks she has spotted a clue that could hint at who is destined to come out on top.
Her theory centers on the idea that a FIFA ‘script’ might be hiding in plain sight, with the answer supposedly visible through the tournament branding itself.
More specifically, she believes the official colors used for each World Cup logo may line up with the nation that ends up winning.
“What you might not know is that every World Cup has it’s official colors,” said Paige, “and those colors just happen to correlate with the winner every single year for at least the last three.”
Paige later explained how she first noticed the pattern.

She said the idea came from similarities to another sporting conspiracy theory involving the Super Bowl, where some fans have claimed the logo colors can foreshadow the winning side.
“I realized fifa has official colors so I looked at the 2022 World Cup colors and they were legitimately the same colors as Argentina,” she said.
After that, she decided to look back at earlier tournaments to see whether the same thing had happened before.
According to Paige, the trend appeared to stretch back even further than she originally expected.
“I dug deeper and all the colors matched the winners actually going further than I did in the video the 2014 cup colors and winner also align,” she said.
That would include Argentina in 2022 and France in 2018, with 2014 also appearing to fit the pattern she described.

“Crazy coincidence orrr is there something there?” she said.
Even so, Paige made clear that she is not treating the theory as anything too serious and sees it more as a bit of fun.
“It’s really all for fun so I wouldn’t put too much stock in it but ya never know!” she said.
Based on her color-matching idea, Paige thinks Portugal is the team that best fits this year’s logo, making them her pick if the trend continues.
“With soccer you can never been too sure, truly anyone can win (and anyone can lose),” she said, “but Portugal is already a top 5 favorite to win so with the fifa color theory I’d say I’m 74.3% confident they could win the whole thing.”
Whether the theory holds up this time is something fans will only find out as the tournament unfolds.
