A woman has been arrested in Kentucky after police officers discovered what seemed to be cooked human remains in her residence.

Kentucky State Police shared in a press release that officers received a call on Wednesday (October 9) regarding a deceased woman in Robertson County.

Upon arrival, they verified the call’s validity and ‘attempted to make contact with a female inside the residence but received no response’.

Following this, they secured a search warrant, found a woman on the premises, and ‘took her into custody without incident’ around 11 p.m.

The individual, identified as 32-year-old Torilena May Fields from Mount Olivet, Kentucky, faces charges of obstructing governmental operations, tampering with physical evidence, and abuse of a corpse.

Authorities have indicated that additional charges may be forthcoming as the investigation progresses.

The Louisville Courier-Journal reported that police discovered a dismembered body alongside cooked body parts in the home.

Officials were alerted by a man hired by Trudy Fields, Torilena’s mother, for property maintenance.

This individual reported arriving at the property to find it locked with no response at the door. Upon inspecting the premises, he discovered a ‘dismembered human body laying behind the residence’, fearing it was Trudy.

In his report to police, he expressed concern that Fields was implicated in Trudy’s demise.

The man informed police that Fields had been ‘casting spells on them and being confrontational’ during his last encounter with mother and daughter.

In their search, police discovered that ‘multiple body parts and organs’ had been extracted from the corpse, found within a folded-up mattress on site.

Blood was also detected on the back porch and at the back door’s threshold.

The investigation revealed a pot in the kitchen that was ‘warm to the touch’, containing human remains thought to have been cooked in the oven.

Officers located the body referenced by the man, missing its arms, legs, and head, along with various bloodstained objects and drag markings on the grass outside.

The Courier-Journal notes that Torilena May Fields is scheduled for arraignment on the upcoming Monday (October 14).

Kentucky State Police officers escorted a reportedly bloodstained Fields from the residence, and she is now detained at Bourbon County Detention Center.

As reported by ABC News, it remains unclear if she has legal representation to speak on her behalf.
