Woman featured on Coldplay jumbotron clarifies current relationship with CEO after viral incident

Kristin Cabot, who was seen on camera in a compromising situation with her former boss, has finally addressed the incident after it gained widespread attention earlier this year.

In July, Andy Byron, who was then the CEO of the New York-based company Astronomer, and Kristin Cabot, the company’s former head of Human Resources, were spotted at a Coldplay concert at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.

Their appearance on the Coldplay jumbotron quickly circulated online for reasons that were less than flattering.

Byron, who was married during the incident, chose to step down from his position, while Cabot also left her role as Chief People Officer.

While Byron remains silent on the issue, Cabot has spoken to the New York Times, shedding light on her current relationship with Byron.

At the time of the concert, Cabot was separated from her spouse, Andrew Cabot, and she initiated divorce proceedings in the summer.

In her discussion with the New York Times, she shared that she and Byron remained in communication throughout the summer, discussing various topics ranging from work matters to personal life. Described as being deeply engaged with their work, both seemed to face difficulties adjusting to life away from their professional roles, as Cabot elaborated on the status of their relationship.

“Honestly, a lot of it was, like: ‘Hi. It’s 11 o’clock on a Tuesday. Any advice?’” Cabot remarked.

In September, the two decided to meet and concluded that continuing their conversations would hinder their ability to move forward and heal. As a result, their interactions have been significantly reduced, according to the New York Times.

During the interview, Cabot clarified that she was not involved in a sexual relationship with Byron and stated that their first kiss occurred when they were caught on camera that evening.

“I was so embarrassed and so horrified. I’m the head of H.R. and he’s the C.E.O. It’s, like, so cliché and so bad,” Cabot recounted of the moment they were noticed by the camera.

After realizing the situation, Cabot and Byron retreated to the bar to collect their thoughts.

Cabot continued: “We both just sat there with our heads in our hands, like, ‘What just happened?’ And the initial conversation was, ‘We have to tell the board’.”

It’s certainly not the kind of viral fame anyone seeks.

Definitely a story for the grandkids someday!
