A woman from Colorado has been cited by police after damaging a 7/11 microwave.
26-year-old Angelique Sanchez was confronted by a 7/11 clerk after he heard a loud bang after he saw Sanchez heat something up. When the clerk approached Sanchez, she was reportedly taking a white plastic bottle out of a microwave.
When asked by the store clerk what it was, she wiped a yellow liquid that smelled of pee. The clerk told her to clean it up. Sanchez cleaned the mess and walked out of the store.
The clerk called the police and they located Sanchez at a nearby clinic where she had planned to take a urinalysis test for a potential employer. When Sanchez was questioned by police, she said that she had cleaned up the microwave and the floor so there should be no problem.
But then the officer told Sanchez that people prepare their food using that microwave to which Sanchez replied with, “It wasn’t real urine.”
The officer issued a summons for damaged property and informed Sanchez that the microwave that she broke was worth $500.
Sanchez was not allowed to take the urine test at the clinic on that day. Clinics usually take urine samples which need to be close to body temperature and this is probably the only reason why she popped it in the microwave before bringing it to the clinic.
