A woman was taken aback when she discovered a stranger’s phone hidden in her home and was even more surprised by the revelations upon turning it on.
Dee Crawford, a content creator, shared her unusual find after her son Grayson stumbled upon an old pink LG Shine phone concealed behind the carpet on their stairs.
Sharing the story on TikTok, Dee described how the phone was meticulously tucked away behind the carpet on their stair treads, remaining unnoticed until her son uncovered it.
The phone didn’t belong to Dee, her husband, or her son, prompting them to ponder its owner and the duration it had been hidden in their house.
They have been residing in their current home for nine years and speculated that it likely belonged to a previous resident.
Upon powering up the old LG phone, they were not prepared for the unexpected discovery they made.
The phone contained messages between its owner and someone named Atticus, which Dee remarked were ‘spicy’, suggesting a romantic involvement.

In a subsequent TikTok video, Dee highlighted some of the steamy messages found in the phone’s inbox.
Immediately, TikTok users began theorizing about the phone’s owner, with many speculating it could belong to a ‘millennial’ who would be mortified if the messages were revealed.
One comment on TikTok suggested: “There is some elder millennial out there that is going to come across this video and absolutely panic.”
Another viewer proposed the phone owner might have been ‘having an affair with the previous owner’ of Dee’s home.
Exploring further into the phone yielded more clues, some of which unsettled Dee and her family.
The phone also contained photos of a dog that bore a striking resemblance to Dee’s dog Clark, who is a rescue.
Determined to solve the mystery and find the phone’s owner, Dee reached out to a contact listed as ‘ICE Mom’.
After convincing ICE Mom that this was not a scam but rather a peculiar situation, Dee gathered more insights about the potential owner.
ICE Mom speculated that the phone could be her daughter’s, who had previously lived near Dee’s home.
However, when Dee spoke with the daughter and showed her the phone, she denied ownership and suggested another possibility.
She hypothesized it might belong to her sister, who had no interest in reclaiming it.
TikTok followers have been captivated by the unfolding mystery and remain on edge, with one commenting: “That’s odd. I’d want my phone back and would wanna know how it got there.”
