Woman says she possesses bread baked by Taylor Swift, sparking warnings against consumption

Fans of Taylor Swift have advised a woman against eating a loaf of sourdough bread that she claims was baked by the pop star herself.

While sourdough starters and baking mishaps became a trend during the coronavirus pandemic, it seems that Swift’s passion for bread-making has persisted beyond that period.

Swift first mentioned her surprisingly relatable hobby during a chat with her fiancé and NFL tight end Travis Kelce on his podcast, New Heights, back in August of the previous year.

The 36-year-old admitted the hobby had ‘taken over my life’ and even mentioned sending her loaves to her celebrity pals for their opinions.

Now, a piece of her sourdough has apparently found its way to an everyday individual, who took to TikTok to share the remarkable discovery and offer a review of the Life of Ophelia singer’s baking skills.

New Yorker Nat Bosu amazed Swifties online by presenting a Ziploc bag containing a single slice of bread, teasing that it came from ‘friends in high places’ to protect the identity of her sourdough supplier.

Addressing her audience, she said: “I have a piece of Taylor Swift’s sourdough. You don’t have to believe me, I know it’s Taylor Swift’s sourdough.”

Bosu showcased her slice to the camera, highlighting its golden crust and classic sourdough bubbles, and said: “I’ve been gluten-free for like 10 years, but like if a piece of Taylor Swift’s sourdough comes across my desk, I’m gonna eat it.

“Here’s the piece, I’m gonna put it in the toaster. I only want like a little bit, but I feel like maybe I should freeze some and save it for when I need a little extra whimsy in my life.”

Her choice to consume a piece of pop history surprised many fans who considered it a violation of something crafted by the Grammy-winning artist.

One fan suggested Bosu should ‘freeze it and save it forever’ instead of partaking in the sacrilege of destroying such a creation, while another expressed disbelief, saying: “I’d frame it are you kidding.”

Another fan recounted their own experience with a Taylor Swift loaf and their efforts to preserve the memory. They shared: “I saved a little to dry out and put the crumbs in a resin necklace.”

Some fans went as far as to say they would keep the slice for eternity, with one adding: “I would just frame it or put it in a bracelet or smth & always look after it like it would be in my coffin [with] me.”

In recent months, many individuals, including Jimmy Fallon and the Haim sisters, have been gifted a cherished loaf in various flavors by the pop icon, with each loaf creatively named with Swift-related puns, such as The Fate of Doughphelia and Life of a Doughgirl.
