A model has shared the story of her transition from life in the Mormon church to a career with OnlyFans, shedding light on her significant life changes.
Kit Barrus grew up deeply involved in the Mormon faith, dedicating about 20 hours per week to church activities, but eventually began reevaluating her beliefs.
As a teenager, Kit participated in religious practices like baptisms for the dead and attended Girls Camp at 15, a common experience for Mormon girls.
Her relationship with her parents began to suffer after she encountered pornography at 14 and lost her virginity at 15.
“When my parents found out about this, everything blew up,” Kit told Metro. “They pulled me out of school and sent me to Idaho to live with my grandparents, after about six months of house arrest. I was miserable.”

After leaving for college, Kit faced another setback when she was removed from her home again after her father discovered an edible and a vibrator in her room.
She eventually found a place to live and started working at a law firm, but her career path shifted dramatically when a friend suggested she try OnlyFans.
With financial difficulties and initial hesitation about entering the adult-content arena, Kit launched her OnlyFans account in 2022, earning an impressive $10,000 in her first month.
The success of this endeavor helped fund her math PhD, turning a side project into a profitable venture.
Kit describes her content as light-hearted and enjoyable, featuring quirky videos like dressing as a dragon and engaging in amusing scenarios with a female knight.
“I don’t make any extreme content or engage in sex challenges, and I actually credit my Mormon upbringing for that,” Kit explained. “This industry can really push your boundaries.”

“A lot of people fall into the trap of doing more and more extreme things because it sells well, but growing up Mormon and having everybody tell me what my values should be, then inherently disagreeing with that, has made me very independent when examining what I want to do.”
Kit often receives requests from men to create explicit content, but she remains steadfast in her refusal to enter that segment of the industry, regardless of the financial incentive.
“You’re like, ‘I could make £100,000 [$140,000] if I just do this one thing’, but that’s when you sell a part of yourself,” she added.
“I have strength in my convictions after my childhood, I’ve been inoculated.”
Despite past disagreements, Kit maintains a close relationship with her parents today.
